Thanksgiving Baskets for Adopt-a-Block

TurkeysStop by our “Turkey Tree” and pick up a turkey tag. Please consider pitching in to help us buy turkeys for our annual outreach. If you would like to help, you can either buy a frozen turkey (or two) and deliver to Destiny on Saturday, November 22 from 10am-noon (we don’t have space to store all the frozen turkeys), and maybe even pitch in to assemble the baskets, or you can just enclose $10 per turkey you would like to help with in an offering envelope (put into the basket at the back of the sanctuary – labeled TURKEY TREE) and we will use it to buy the balance of the frozen turkeys we need (we get a great discount on them). If you prefer, you can mail a donation (just money, please, not frozen turkeys :-)) to Destiny Christian Center, 333 West Moana Lane, Reno, NV 89509

Welcome to Destiny Christian Center of Reno

We are a family focused church that is filled with people who love God and love to see God move. We are a church that is constantly on the move, taking God’s Word to the streets, telling others of His love, feeding the poor and caring for their needs. We are also a church that loves to allow God the freedom to move in every service. We are a spirit-filled, non-denominational church that operates in all of the spiritual gifts and encourages its members to do the same. We believe that one of the most important things necessary for a strong Christian life is to be a part of a strong local church fellowship. It is our desire to be a church that provides each member with spiritual family and opportunity for spiritual growth. We believe that the local church is vital to fulfilling ones destiny. We provide a safe place for God’s people to fulfill their destiny.

Sage Street Park Clean Up Project

November 1, 2014, 8:00am - November 1, 2014, 2:00pm

Destiny Christian Center of Reno

DCCR has partnered with the City of Reno's "Adopt-a-Park" to clean up and revitalize one of the parks where we have been ministering in for over six years. This is going to be a great opportunity for people to get more involved with the Sage St. Park community, Adopt-a-Block, build further relationships, and show the Love of Jesus! We will be doing some light landscaping, playground turf maintenance, graffiti removal, and painting. The project will start on Saturday Nov. 1st at 8am and we will work until noon and lunch is going to be provided. We have sent out an invite through email using EVITE and we would appreciate those that are attending to confirm using that website so we can get an accurate account of who will be there so we can get the correct amount of waivers and other requirements of the City. This project is something we have tried to get going for over three years now and it is finally happening this Saturday!!!!!!

Pot Blessing - November

November 9, 2014, 12:00am

Destiny Christian Center of Reno

SIGNUP SHEET ONLINE: www.perfectpotluck.com/meals.php?t=AWXN8021 Let's share a meal together after church service ends. Please bring enough for your family, and some to share (we always have guests, remember :-) ). Please note if you're bringing something allergen-free or for special dietary needs like low cholesterol/sodium/sugar, gluten-free or vegetarian. Break out that awesome recipe that always earns you rave reviews! Or just swing by the convenience store and grab some drinks. Whatever works for you. We appreciate it. Thank you for all your generosity! How to fellowship at a meal in the Lord (and how not to) 1 Corinthians 11: 20 AMP So when you gather for your meetings, it is not the supper instituted by the Lord that you eat, 21 For in eating each one [hurries] to get his own supper first [not waiting for the poor], and one goes hungry while another gets drunk. 22 What! Do you have no houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church of God and mean to show contempt for it, while you humiliate those who are poor (have no homes and have brought no food)? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, [most certainly] I will not!
